Volunteer
Help people get to the help
Volunteers make the difference between a list of programs and someone actually receiving assistance.
How to volunteer with us
We take volunteers one at a time so everyone gets proper training. Email info@enhanceminority.com with the role that interests you and your city, or call (612) 886-8346. Someone replies within 24 hours.
Resource verification
Call programs, confirm hours, rules and openings, and record what they say. This is the single most useful thing a volunteer can do.
Translation review
Review translated interface and guidance text for accuracy and tone. Consent, crisis and eligibility wording is only published after a qualified reviewer approves it.
Application support
Sit with people while they complete forms, gather documents and prepare for appointments. Requires training and a background check.
Community outreach
Share information where people actually are: schools, clinics, faith communities, markets and community events.
Safeguards for every role
- Volunteers never see more personal information than their role requires.
- Any role with direct contact requires training, a background check and a signed confidentiality agreement.
- Volunteers do not decide eligibility and do not give legal or medical advice.
- Volunteer access is reviewed and removed when someone stops volunteering.
